Sending Voice Call Transcripts to Customers via Postcode Webhook: A Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a New Automation:

    • Access automations and start creating a new one from scratch.

    • Set the trigger as an inbound webhook.

  2. Activate the Postcode Webhook:

    • Copy the trigger without saving anything.

    • Navigate to assistance, then call, and locate the postcode webhook.

    • Activate the webhook through the provided arrow.

  3. Fetch Sample Requests:

    • Verify if the payload has come through by fetching sample requests.

  4. Configure the Trigger:

    • Save the trigger and ignore the prompt to create a contact.

    • Add the field from contact ID and select contact_ID from the inbound webhook trigger.

  5. Access the Transcript:

    • Save the action and access the transcript and other relevant information.

  6. Set Up Email Notification:

    • Choose between a notification or an email for sending the transcript.

    • Use an internal or external email address for sending the notification.

    • Specify the subject line, incorporating details like first name, AI, call completed, and transcript type.

  7. Select Transcript Type:

    • Choose whether to send a call summary, full transcript, or recording URL.

    • Save the action once the selection is made.

  8. Automate Email Sending:

    • Upon completion of a call, the automation will trigger to find the contact and send an email with the relevant details.

    • Additional information like full name, email, and contact number can also be included for further client information.
